From advisees
I think this article hit it on point. Teachers today are not taught how to use technology in the classroom so they seem to blow it off altogether. Teachers need "a modeled practice", where someone comes in toshkent hem how to use SAMR and help to pair this with the new common core. Showing teachers the use of multiple browsers and saving and editing is now key to teaching.
Teachers today need to know how to use a LMS, one that there school will allow and to teach students how to use one so when they go to college they will already be prepared on how to use one if these devises. I personally never knew what blackboard was until my 3rd semester at pearl river and it was a challenge to figure out. I think it would be a good idea to use this for at least submitting essay for students so they will get a feel of how it goes.
Students bringing their own devises seems like something a teacher should cautious of because there are so many different programs like Apple, Microsoft, android that using all of this will be different for each studen and harder to maintain. Maybe there should be a "free day" for them to BYOD but do not rely on this some students may not even have a devise.
