*Padlet.com is a blank wall where a teacher and the student can post a question and the students can go to the wall and post their answers. Can also leave sticky notes or questions for the teacher when they need answers or they are not understanding something. kidtopia.info is about different subjects for kids. It has different things in each subject that can help a teacher with a lesson and has a search engine for other information for any subject. But since it is google it may pop up ads that may not be appropriate for kids. instagrok.com it is like a search engine it looks like a brain storming page of what you needed to know on what you searched for. Also has a difficulty level. There are also quizzes for the class but there are ads of course. *slimekids.com search website has a place for kids to look up stuff like George Washington and it comes up with different about him. Has an authors page that can bring you to their website. wikisummarizer.com type in a idea to look up and it comes up with a web of different information or a tree view of different stuff but it comes from wikipedia which may not be completely useful because people can change. peartrees.com combination of pinterest and a concept map. Pick a starting topic and then look up it on the website and it becomes a pearl on the webpage. Can be used for a project to help gather thoughts for paper. *netvibes.com no fun design but it help collect all of your ideas. It can help look up web search, blog search or videos it is like google on overload. It will bring everything in one place. (good search tool if it was free). *glogster.edu a place where you can create online poster boards for an assignment this maybe hard for younger children but it does seem like a fun idea for older kids who are doing a project. Fun way to look at things for a project. audacity.net a place to record anything for class from speeches and helps recording and editing. They help out with bands and can use in classroom by making a song of their subjects. vimeo.com it helps take video search video on you tube or any site it seems can help in school with different lessons and songs can help with finding education channels but is seems a teacher will have to dig for it wordpress.com you can look up blogs and find friends and tag things or look up tags it is hard to get into but it does help people find what they may need. Many people use this more than blogger shows different blogs kind of like a facebook page. *evernote.com take notes on it while in class and you can search in any document that you may have shows all documents on one side and can bring up on the other to let you see what you typed, also name your folders and tag what you need to remember. But have to buy if you want unlimited recording and audio. *compfight.com it is like google images if is free to download and you can pick different sizes. Gives better pictures than google. diigo.com can build a library and create clouds and keep things you need for any project and you can share this and create groups with other students and teachers. blabberize.com insert any image and construct the mouth to talk about what they are or where they came from like George Washington and he can "tell" about his life to a class. easel.ly can create themes and you can make maps about anything like a brain storm web, easy to make, templates to use from. Use in class or in meeting. weebly.com helps you make your own website and blogs. It is a free site to help start a site with templates and helps with slideshows as well. Be easy for a student to use for a project in any subject. storyboardgenerator.com has a lot of video of everyday people that may help with teaching a lesson like what people experienced in a natural disaster or anything else that may go along with any subject. Just use it for finding personal stories. tagul.com kind of like wordle but it is not as limited. There are many different shapes and fonts and colors to use many words that will go along with a lesson. edmodo.com is basically a facebook for teachers. There are different posts that they can put on pertaining to class and lesson plans for any teacher or they can ask questions on how to grade a crazy paper. Also a teacher can create a group for her/his class. *socrative.com can create tests and things for students this website is free and it is easy for a class to join. podbean.com It is like itunes or podcastcan post lessons on it like have a lecture on it but i you have to pay for it. Just uploading not much for editing unless you invest in the site. pixton.com where you can make comic strips, but you have to sign up for the site if you are teaching. icloud.com like on your iphone or ipad have to buy all the apps but it is a great way to create things and print stuff from the cloud. Free pages for word process and numbers like excel and keynote like powerpoint it is like windows just apple products. *infogr.com can create charts for a class or any other information. Can also help with businesses and not just in the classroom. Can make many types of charts. It is also free.
